We supply GOST Steel products in multiple finish conditions depending on application demands:
- Hot Rolled / Forged: Normalized or annealed condition with mill scale for heavy structural cuts.
- Peeled / Turned: Bright turned finish with accurate outer diameter tolerances for shaft manufacturing.
- Ground & Polished: Centerless ground surface finish for precision bearings and pins.
Recommended heat treatment procedures for GOST steel grades:
- Annealing: Heat to 840°C – 860°C, slow furnace cooling.
- Normalizing: Heat to 860°C – 880°C, cool in open air to refine grain structure.
- Quenching & Tempering: Oil quench at 830°C – 860°C followed by high tempering (500°C – 600°C) for maximum toughness.
