We supply Special Metals in multiple finish conditions depending on application demands:
- Hot Rolled Annealed & Pickled (HRAP): Clean scale-free surface for heavy machining, forging, & welded pressure vessels.
- Centerless Ground & Polished: Smooth precision tolerance (+/- 0.02mm) bright bar finish for high-speed shafts & pump impellers.
- Cold Drawn & Bright Annealed: Smooth dimensional finish for precision tubular components and aerospace fasteners.
Heat treatment considerations for superalloys and special metals:
- Solution Annealing (Inconel / Hastelloy): Heat to 1090°C–1200°C and rapid air/water cool to achieve optimum ductility and maximum corrosion resistance.
- Precipitation / Age Hardening (Inconel 718 / Monel K500): Two-step age hardening (720°C for 8 hours followed by 620°C furnace cooling) for peak tensile strength up to 1350 MPa.
