STAINLESS STEEL
Non-Corrosive & Rust-Resistant Austenitic, Martensitic & Ferritic Stainless Steel Bars, Plates, Pipes & Forgings
STAINLESS STEEL SUPPLIER IN MUMBAI
Stainless steel has different corrosion properties which include being non-corrosive, rust-resistant steel, which is simply designated as stainless steel. In comparison with aluminium, stainless steel is approximately 3 times heavier.
Stainless steel, like steel itself, is an alloy. An alloy always consists of different materials. Among the most frequent alloying elements in non-corrosive stainless steel is chrome, where nickel, molybdenum and further elements are used for special requirements.
The magnetisability, as well as the corrosion resistance, are two of these requirements which are controlled by the different alloys.

Round Bars: 6 mm to 400 mm diameter in ready stock.
Square Bars: 6 mm to 100 mm A/F.
Hexagonal Bars: 6 mm to 100 mm A/F.
Flat Bars: Thickness 3 mm to 80 mm; Widths up to 300 mm.
Plates & Sheets: Thickness 0.5 mm to 100 mm in 2B / HRAP finish.
We supply Stainless Steel products in multiple finish conditions depending on application demands:
- 2B / HRAP: Hot rolled annealed & pickled or cold rolled smooth finish for structural & process tanks.
- Bright Annealed (BA) & Mirror 8K: Highly reflective aesthetic finish for architectural & food processing equipment.
- Centerless Ground & Polished: Smooth tight tolerance (+/- 0.02mm) bright bar finish for pump shafts & turned parts.
Heat treatment considerations for stainless steel grades:
- Solution Annealing (Austenitic): Heat to 1010°C–1120°C and water quench rapidly to dissolve carbides and restore maximum corrosion resistance.
- Hardening & Tempering (Martensitic): Heat to 980°C–1040°C, oil/air quench and temper at 200°C–650°C for target hardness (40-55 HRC).
Key industrial applications for stainless steel grades:
- Chemical & Marine (304/L, 316/L, 321): Storage tanks, heat exchangers, marine hardware, offshore oil platforms, pharmaceutical reactors.
- Engineering & Heat Equipment (410, 420, 310, 330): Pump shafts, valve spindles, surgical tools, cutlery, industrial furnace retorts.
